Job Opportunity for Heavy Diesel Drill Fitters

This is a challenging opportunity for skilled and experienced individuals to work in the field of heavy diesel drill fitting. The role involves working with complex machinery, ensuring safety and quality standards are met.

The successful candidate will have a strong focus on preventative maintenance, repairs, and attending breakdowns. They will also be responsible for running diagnostics/testing and fault finding of mobile fleet (specifically diggers and drills).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preventative Maintenance and Repairs: Ensure all equipment is maintained to optimal levels, minimizing downtime and increasing overall efficiency.
  • Diagnostics and Fault Finding: Identify and rectify faults during inspections and follow specific maintenance programs.
  • Daily Inspections: Conduct daily inspections on mobile fleet including Liebherr 9150, R996B and 9400 Excavators and Atlas Copco Pit Viper 271 and D65 Drills.
  • Maintenance Procedures: Initiate updates to work procedures to ensure they are accurate and relevant to equipment.
  • Equipment Reliability: Provide input into root cause analysis and subsequent resolution of issues affecting equipment reliability.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and assist in implementing new initiatives in a constructive way.
Requirements:
  • Australian Recognised Heavy Mechanical/Vehicle Fitter Qualifications.
  • A high level of technical experience with Diggers and Drills.
  • Technically/mechanically sound skills with Leibherr, Cat and Atlas Copco are highly sought after.
  • Demonstrated diagnostics and breakdown experience with Diggers and Drills.
  • Dogging, Rigging and Forklift Licenses are desirable.
  • A commitment to safety, quality and attention to detail and procedure.
  • Computer literacy and/or experience in 1SAP.
  • The ability to work to deadlines and remain calm under pressure.
