**About the Role**

We are seeking a Speech Pathologist to provide services within our Primary Health program. The successful candidate will work with outpatient community clients, acute and aged services, and the early intervention service/NDIS where required.

This role involves providing speech pathology services in various settings, including homes, preschools, kindergartens, childcare centers, and other community settings. The Speech Pathologist may also conduct group activities and convene parent and community information sessions as requested.

As a member of our Primary Health Department, the appointee will contribute to the overall performance of the team consistent with our Purpose, Vision, and Values.

**Required Skills and Qualifications**

A Bachelor of Speech Pathology or an equivalent qualification as recognised by Speech Pathology Australia is essential for this role. Membership of Speech Pathology Australia is also mandatory.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team, possess excellent time management and communication skills, both written and verbal. They should also have a strong understanding of the principles of Family Centred Practice and up-to-date knowledge of adult communication and swallowing disorders.

Working with elderly individuals within residential and community settings, as well as managing a broad paediatric caseload of common paediatric disorders/disabilities, is highly desirable. Experience in supervising junior staff and undergraduate Speech Pathology students is also considered advantageous.
