The primary objective of this position is to oversee the maintenance and renovation of sports turf facilities.
This involves conducting regular inspections, implementing corrective actions as needed, and collaborating with relevant stakeholders to ensure optimal turf health and safety standards are met.
Key responsibilities include:
- Maintenance and repair of tools, equipment, and fleet
- Reporting on green keeping activities, including irrigation, turf, tools, equipment, schedules, and agreements
- Inspecting, maintaining, and reporting on turf surfaces
To excel in this role, applicants should possess a Turf Management apprenticeship or equivalent, along with a valid chemical application certificate (ACUP) and a current Driver's License. Additionally, a Certificate III in Sports Turf Management is highly desirable.
Apart from these qualifications, successful candidates will have demonstrated experience in maintaining turf wickets, warm and cool season turf surfaces, line marking, and using multi pro sprayers. They will also be skilled in identifying pests and diseases, supervising staff, and motivating team members.
