Job Opportunity

The role of Active Banyule Lead is a pivotal position within our organization, responsible for overseeing the successful implementation of the Active Banyule - Sport and Recreation Plan. As a key member of our team, you will be instrumental in driving strategy, policy development, planning, and project management to foster sport and recreation participation within the community.

This role involves leading the implementation of the Active Banyule Plan, supporting the delivery of sports infrastructure and facilities through our capital works program, and developing and reviewing policies for recreation and sport. You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve inclusive sport and recreation outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement the Active Banyule Plan effectively
  • Support the delivery of sports infrastructure and facilities through our capital works program
  • Develop and review policies for recreation and sport
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to achieve inclusive outcomes

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated ability to lead the implementation of council plans
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Well-developed knowledge of strategy and local government policy as it relates to sports, recreation, and health and wellbeing
  • A tertiary qualification in a relevant field or demonstrated relevant work experience
