The Opportunity

We're on the hunt for a
Facility Manager

who thrives on growth, opportunity, and impact. You'll oversee the day-to-day operations of our Lilydale facility, ensuring the athlete experience is world-class, manage and support a small team of staff members, and drive our athlete development memberships and program sign-ups.

This role starts with 10-15 hours/week (Mon–Fri, 3:00–6:00pm) with a financially rewarding base retainer, performance bonuses and a pathway to grow into other positions for the right person.

Your Core Responsibilities

Team Leadership

– Lead and support the coaching team, conduct weekly staff check-ins, and foster a high-performance culture.

Membership Growth

– Take ownership of the membership pipeline - lead nurturing, converting new sign-ups, tracking retention.

Client Communication

– Be the face of the facility during peak hours, build relationships with athletes, parents and members, oversee feedback/follow-up.

Facility Operations

– Manage systems, schedules, bookings, and operational processes to ensure daily success and long-term scalability.

Reporting

– Monitor KPIs around sign-ups, attendance, retention, and revenue, and report weekly to the business owner.

System Building

– Support the design and rollout of new SOPs, workflows, and scalable systems.

What We're Looking For

We're not hiring a desk jockey - we're hiring a leader.

Essentials

  • Previous experience in leadership, coaching, gym operations, or sports performance
  • Great with people - confident communicator with kids, parents, coaches and pro athletes
  • Comfortable with sales and lead conversion (training provided)
  • Strong attention to detail, reliability, and initiative
  • Passion for athlete development and growth mindsets

Preferred

  • 2–5 years in a management, S&C, or customer service role
  • Familiarity with gym/booking software, CRM tools, and operational reporting
  • Cert IV in Fitness, ASCA L1+, Sports Science, or relevant background (a bonus)
