Job Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and motivated Warehouse Storeperson to join our Energy team at NRMA. This part-time permanent opportunity is based at our Smithfield EV Lab warehouse and involves the successful daily operation of the warehouse for the Energy business.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing administration support, advising on urgent issues, maintaining inventory records, and coordinating with 3rd parties. You will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized office space, developing and maintaining stock movement reports, and receiving, handling, and dispatching goods.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing administration support in operations and other meetings
  • Advising on urgent issues requiring attention
  • Maintaining register of inventory for tracking and management
  • Coordination and supervision of 3rd parties accessing the NRMA warehouse
  • Administration of EV site keys
  • Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the office space
  • Develop, maintain, and provide reporting on stock movements and condition
  • Receives, handles and despatches goods
  • Research and meet with suppliers
  • Place requisitions and receipt orders
  • Monitor and control the flow of goods into and out of store
  • Use a forklift to assist in loading and unloading trucks and moving goods around the store/workshop area
  • Maintain cleanliness & organisation of the Store
  • Keep records of delivered and dispatched goods
  • Track record of responsibility when handling company assets
  • Maintain effective HSE controls within the warehouse and office space
  • Effective oral and written communication skills, including strong interpersonal, conflict resolution and negotiation skills
  • Build effective relationships with customers, stakeholders, external partners, suppliers and NRMA teams.

Requirements include:

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Support team members on a variety of tasks
  • Administrative experience in general office duties
  • Medium to Advanced skills in Microsoft office (word, excel, Outlook) and internet
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work with a high volume of data with high attention to detail
  • Proven ability to maintain good working relationships with contracted service providers
  • Proven time management and organisational skills, with the ability to work well under pressure of multiple deliverables within tight deadlines
  • Professional attitude and exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Sound knowledge of Work Health & Safety (WH&S) laws and legislation
  • Ability to lift items within WorkSafe guidelines.

Special requirements include:

  • Driver's License
  • Forklift License (current license or willing to obtain license)
