About the Role

BHP is seeking a highly skilled Mine Planning and Scheduling Expert to join our Technical Services team. As a Senior Scheduling Professional, you will be responsible for developing safe and efficient mine schedules.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage, engage, lead, and coach a team of technical personnel
  • Be a visible and active safety leader
  • Mentor and guide production, planning, and scheduling engineers to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of mine plans
  • Identify, assess, manage, and communicate risks to senior leadership
  • Monitor and track operational execution against mine plans
  • Effectively communicate planning outputs to internal and external stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have a tertiary qualification in Mine Engineering or a related discipline, with 5+ years of mining engineering/technical experience. You will also have a strong working knowledge of Deswik and/or Vulcan, SPRY (or equivalent) scheduling software, and experience in opencut mining.
