The Perinatal Care Specialist plays a pivotal role in providing exceptional, woman-centered maternity care to patients.
This position involves collaborating with individuals and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver high-quality care. Key responsibilities include:
- Supervising and supporting less experienced clinicians to achieve excellent patient outcomes
- Utilizing best practice evidence to provide informed, individualized care to women and their babies
Requirements for Success
To excel in this role, applicants must possess the following skills and qualifications:
- Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a registered midwife
- Demonstrated competencies in caring for women and babies within a multidisciplinary team environment
- Effective communication skills, utilizing technology, written, and verbal means to interact with others professionally
- Application of evidence-based practice and critical thinking to advocate for and implement individualized care with a focus on quality improvement
- Ability to supervise, delegate, and negotiate with others to deliver high-quality care, demonstrating leadership potential and adaptability
- Recent clinical experience relevant to the position, including ongoing professional development and commitment to maintaining competence
- Effective prioritization and organization of workload, delivering care with integrity and accountability
