Job Title: Head Squad Coach

About the Role

The role of a Head Squad Coach is to lead and manage a team of coaches, responsible for developing and implementing training programs that promote athlete growth and competitiveness.


Duties and Responsibilities
  • Designing and implementing competitive squad training programs that cater to the needs of athletes at various levels.
  • Facilitating athlete pathways through to regional, state, and national competitions by providing coaching and mentoring support.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to foster valuable relationships and ensure effective communication.
  • Planning, coordinating, and evaluating the squad program to meet objectives and improve performance.
  • Providing professional development opportunities for junior coaches to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Ensuring attendance and meeting season calendar requirements.

About You
  • Proven experience in a competitive squad environment.
  • Ability to grow and develop as a coach.
  • Experience coaching National Age & open qualifiers.
  • Good standing with Swimming NSW/Swimming Australia.
  • Current ASCTA Silver Licence / Advanced Licence or equivalent.
  • Working with Children's Check.
  • First Aid and CPR.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including days, nights, and weekends as required.
  • Ability to maintain high standards under pressure.
