Derivatives Operations Specialist Job Description

As a Derivatives Operations Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and accurate processing of trades in a fast-paced derivatives environment. You will be responsible for clearing trades, managing exchange deposits and withdrawals, and ensuring compliance with applicable external and internal regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Clearing: Process trade clearing efficiently and accurately for all relevant markets, ensure timely processing of give ups/take ups/EFP/NLT bookings, handle exceptions and reporting on post-trade clearing process, process post-trade requests from clients/front office, investigate and resolve clearing breaks raised.
  • Treasury: Manage exchange deposits/withdrawals requests in a timely manner, liaise with exchanges and banks on collateral related matters, ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
  • Relevant experience in Derivatives Operations (2-3 years)
  • Good understanding of Exchange-Traded Derivatives markets, systems and process workflows
  • Strong knowledge of key risk areas of functions and its relevant controls
  • High standards of accuracy, diligence, and meeting deadlines
  • Process excellence mindset coupled with initiative
  • Strong communication skills for internal and external stakeholder communication
