Resource Recovery Works Operator

An exciting position has become available in Council’s Resource Recovery Unit, in the area of Resource Recovery facilities (transfer stations), street sweeping and management of litter and illegal dumping within the Macedon Ranges reporting to the Team Leader Resource Recovery.
The position will be responsible for site maintenance at Council’s three Resource Recovery facilities, which will include day-to-day running of each site, mulch deliveries, street sweeping activities and rubbish removal as well as a number of tasks associated with waste and resource recovery.
The successful applicant will be a flexible, self-motivated problem solver with the ability to work alone with little instruction, as well as working within a team to achieve common goals, experience in heavy machinery operation and truck driving is desired.
Applicants note, it is expected that working hours and locations will be ever-changing from week-to-week depending on requirements within the team, which will include early starts in street cleaning activities and weekend Resource Recovery facility shifts - as much notice as possible will be given in regards to rostered hours.
Interviews will be conducted week commencing 27 February at the Woodend Operations Centre.
