Accountancy Support Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Accountancy Support Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accounts to trial balance, general bookkeeping and accurate financial record maintenance.

The role is ideal for those with a passion for accounting and finance, and who possess excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Preparation of Accounts: Prepare accounts to trial balance for a range of clients, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • General Bookkeeping: Maintain accurate financial records, including ledgers, journals and other relevant documentation.
  • Supporting Senior Accountants: Provide support to senior accountants and partners as required, including assisting with audits and financial reporting.
  • Ensuring Precision: Ensure precision and attention to detail in all financial documentation, including reports and presentations.
Requirements:
  • Experience: A minimum of three years' experience working within an accounting practice.
  • Skills: Proven ability to prepare accounts to trial balance, excellent organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written English communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex financial information to clients and colleagues.
  • Certifications: Relevant accounting certifications, such as ACCA or CIMA, would be advantageous.
