Job Title: Senior School Officer - Student Placements Coordinator

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Senior School Officer to join our team at Edith Cowan University. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the School's work integrated learning program, with a particular focus on providing support for the management of student placements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the management of student placements, including student mandatory checks, placement agreements, and the maintenance of student placement records.
  • Engage with external and internal stakeholders to ensure the effective flow of information to and from the School and key stakeholders.
  • Generate solutions in consultation with academic staff and senior colleagues and implement them successfully.
  • Assist with other general administrative work in the School, which may involve contracts, human resource management, financial processes, and information management.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge and experience of student placement management, including securing placements, creation and management of agreements, placement risk management, and stakeholder relationship management.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in support of students, colleagues, and external stakeholders.
  • High-level communication skills, including the ability to consult, negotiate, and network effectively with a wide range of stakeholders at all levels.
  • Precise attention to detail, with the ability to use initiative to identify problems, think creatively about their resolution, and know when to escalate problems to their manager for assistance.
  • Independence in working on directed goals and tasks and managing competing priorities and deadlines.
