Strategic Expansion Lead, APAC

This role leads the development of long-term expansion plans for infrastructure investments across Asia-Pacific markets. Conducting market research and competitive analysis, you will lead the development of market entry strategies with actionable investment recommendations.

Key focuses include cloud and AI market trends, customer intelligence, macroeconomic trends, emerging market due diligence, and key customer trends. You will partner closely with teams to analyze customer and infrastructure development data to develop growth plans critical to the success of our business in APAC.

Duties

  • Conduct market research and industry analysis to understand customer demand and growth patterns to identify market specific risks and opportunities.
  • Develop market entry and expansion strategies with specific, actionable investment recommendations.
  • Partner closely with Sales, Engineering, and Development teams to source market intelligence and develop cohesive understandings of each metro area and hyperscale cloud market.
  • Lead regional market prioritization based on risk and opportunity analysis.
  • Present market strategies and investment recommendations to senior leadership on a regular basis.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience developing go-to-market and expansion plans for digital infrastructure investments.
  • Advanced knowledge of hyperscale cloud providers, including cloud products, service architectures, and regional infrastructure deployments.
  • Intimate familiarity with the cloud market dynamics, including hyperscale cloud provider growth patterns, go-to-market priorities, and infrastructure decision-making criteria.
  • Strong understanding of the data center colocation industry with intimate knowledge of regional colocation markets.
  • Exceptional ability to communicate effectively with senior executives and influence strategic decision-making.
