Senior Hydrologist Role

A challenging position has emerged for a highly skilled senior hydrologist to lead water resources projects in Melbourne.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in hydrology, hydraulic engineering, and project management to drive significant initiatives forward.

As a key member of our team, you will set the technical direction, guide senior-level conversations, and contribute to high-profile projects that leave lasting impacts on communities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee delivery of complex water resources projects across various sectors.
  • Collaborate closely with developers, engineering consultants, authorities, and other stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement strategies to balance design, technical expertise, and client relationships.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, fostering strong relationships with local councils and other community groups.
Requirements
  • Master's degree or Ph.D. in Civil or Environmental Engineering, Hydrology, or a related field.
  • 8-20 years' experience in hydrology and water resources, preferably in Victoria.
  • Proven track record of delivering successful water-based projects within consultancy environments.
  • Expertise in 12D, MUSIC, TuFLOW, HECRAS, RORB, and other relevant software tools.
  • Excellent communication and report-writing skills, with experience in tender preparation and client engagement.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on integrity and effective decision-making.
