Job Opportunity:
">The Australian Government Department of Defence is seeking Policy Officers to join the Directorate of Overseas and Housing Policy. As a Policy Officer, you will contribute to developing innovative solutions for housing policy and reviewing overseas conditions of service.
About the Role:
">You will work in a mixed operational policy team consisting of ADF members and Defence APS employees. Your tasks may include research, analysis, and development in complex housing and overseas conditions policy areas; developing relationships with stakeholders; preparing reports and briefs; providing expert advice on policy; supporting governance structures; and working collaboratively in a team-based environment.
Key Responsibilities:
">- Developing innovative solutions in complex housing and overseas conditions policy areas
- Building and sustaining positive relationships with stakeholders
- Preparing high-quality reports and briefs for senior leadership and Ministers
- Providing expert advice on policy
- Supporting decision-making processes and governance structures
- Working collaboratively in a team-based environment

">- Experience in policy development and analysis or demonstrated transferrable skills
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
