About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Veterinary Nurse Manager who will oversee the management of our animal care team, providing leadership and support while maintaining hands-on nursing skills. This role involves managing surgery and consult schedules, developing and expanding programs, and fostering a culture of excellence within the team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and motivate the veterinary team to deliver exceptional animal care and welfare outcomes.
  • Implement and maintain policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
  • Support veterinarians with routine health examinations and medical cases.
  • Nurse hospitalised animals, monitor clinical signs, and communicate with the team.
  • Prepare and implement surgery and consult schedules, ensuring animals receive timely and effective care.
  • Ensure adherence to organizational policy and procedure, as well as state and federal legislation.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or recognized equivalent qualification.
  • 5+ years' experience in veterinary nursing, preferably in a leadership position.
  • Excellent animal handling and care skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong computer literacy, including Microsoft Office Suite.
