About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Assistant Category Buyer to join our dynamic Womenswear Trend Team at THE ICONIC. As a key member of our Commercial team, you will play a critical role in driving sales growth and maximizing profit within your category.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support Category Strategy and Vision: Collaborate with the Category Buyer and Senior Category Buyer to develop and implement category strategies that align with THE ICONIC's commercial objectives.
  • Procurement and Inventory Management: Assist in the procurement of products, monitor inventory levels, and maintain adequate stock levels to meet customer demand.
  • Vendor Management: Work closely with vendors to resolve issues, negotiate favorable terms, and foster partnerships that drive business growth.
  • Data Analysis and Insights: Analyze sales data, interpret trends, and provide informed recommendations to drive business decisions.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Effectively communicate with internal stakeholders, including Marketing, Vendor Management, Operations, and Finance, to ensure seamless execution of category strategies.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 Years of Experience: Proven track record as an Assistant Buyer in a high-volume business, with a strong understanding of category management principles.
  • Excellent Communication and Negotiation Skills: Ability to build strong relationships with vendors, internal stakeholders, and customers.
  • Strong Analytical and Problem-Solving Abilities: Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and provide informed recommendations.
  • Time Management and Prioritization: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks effectively, and meet deadlines.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Jira, Excel, BI, BC, and knowledge of API integrations and platform software preferred.
