About the Role

This dynamic position involves assisting with month-end close procedures, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis for financial reports. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate records, tracking costs, and supporting invoicing and accounts receivable processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with month-end close procedures, ensuring timely completion of tasks such as journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date fixed asset registers, managing depreciation calculations.
  • Track project and operational costs, supporting the preparation of invoices and accounts receivable documentation.
  • Prepare audit documentation and contribute to finance projects, identifying process improvements.
Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • CA/CPA qualification or currently studying towards it; Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience in accounting and finance.
  • Strong understanding of reconciliations, general ledger, and month-end close procedures.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., MYOB, Xero) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
  • Able to work effectively under pressure, meeting deadlines and collaborating with stakeholders.
Salary Estimate:

We estimate the salary for this role to be around AU$70,000 - AU$90,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
