Overview
Anderson Family Lawyers is a specialist family law firm dedicated to assisting clients in resolving family law issues.
The firm is growing and seeks a full-time family lawyer to join our small team based in Altona North.
The role could be hybrid or part-time for the right candidate.
In this role you will act for clients in all areas of family law, taking on key responsibilities including:
Responsibilities
Providing sound verbal and written advice to clients in all areas of family law
Assisting clients with family violence intervention order matters and drafting basic wills
Proactively communicating with clients
Accurately preparing court material in a timely manner and appearing in court where required
Effectively briefing Counsel
Appearing at some court events
Appearing at some mediations
Following firm procedures relating to billing, administration and collection of accounts
Attending and contributing to firm marketing activities
Developing your own personal brand as a private family lawyer and fostering your network of clients and referrers to build your client base
Maintaining professional accreditation and records
Upholding the Anderson Family Lawyers values and working collaboratively with the team
Qualifications
A minimum 3-4 years post-admission experience in family law; accredited family law specialists encouraged to apply
Admittance to practice law in Australia (including Victoria)
Relevant tertiary qualification (e.g., Bachelor of Laws, Master of Laws)
Passion for family law
Highly organised with excellent time management skills
Experience managing competing priorities
Positive culture contribution in a team environment
