We are seeking a highly experienced Risk Manager to join our team at Westpac Group.

About the Role

This is an exceptional opportunity to lead risk management strategies across technology projects in Westpac Institutional Bank. As a Senior Manager, Business Controls, you will be responsible for evaluating, directing, and monitoring first-line risk activities to ensure they align with the Group's risk appetite.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective risk management strategies to minimize risks associated with technology projects
  • Evaluate potential risks and exposures in WIB Technology and develop mitigation plans
  • Work closely with business and project owners to influence a strong risk culture and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Draft reports for formal governance forums and provide recommendations for risk improvement initiatives
  • Lead strategic initiatives to uplift WIB's risk service offering and enhance overall risk maturity
About You

To be successful in this role, you must have significant experience in project risk or delivery risk management, as well as knowledge of technology project solutions and risk frameworks. You should also possess excellent stakeholder engagement skills, business acumen, and the ability to influence senior executives.

A tertiary qualification in a related field is desirable, as is certification in risk management disciplines such as COBIT or ITIL. If you are a driven individual with a passion for risk management and a strong track record of success, we encourage you to apply.

About the Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $160,000 - $220,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits including superannuation, paid parental leave, and flexible working arrangements.
