HL7 FHIR Integration Specialist

As a key member of our integration team at Integration Works, you will play a vital role in designing and delivering integration solutions that meet and exceed our clients' expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and Delivery:

  • Retain a holistic view of the solution while working on the lower-level details.
  • Escalate issues in a timely manner to the appropriate Senior Integration Consultant or Team Lead.
  • Work closely with clients with minimal supervision.

Code and Configuration:

  • Develop and deliver high-quality code and configuration, including documentation and unit testing.
  • Follow prescribed coding standards and ensure code is version-controlled.
  • Participate in code reviews and be open to working in a peer programming environment.

Customer Focus:

  • Provide professional customer service with clear and appropriate communication at all times.
  • Act with professionalism at all times on client sites and in the office.
  • Represent Integration Works positively on both client sites and in day-to-day work activities.

Other:

  • Be flexible and adapt to changing technology.
  • Be a team player, aware of the impact on the internal team while maintaining awareness of customer demands.
  • Continuously learn about different code requirements to meet customers' needs.
  • Have a desire to improve self-knowledge and skills, identifying and attending relevant training workshops, seminars, or online learning.

Person Specifications:

  • Minimum of 3-4 years of development experience in the IT industry.
  • Solid experience in working with HL7 FHIR in the Healthcare industry.
  • Experience in creating APIs from scratch.
  • Strong orientation towards ensuring client satisfaction and service delivery.
  • Reliable and able to produce high-quality work.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and able to engage across all levels in the business.
  • Ability to effectively manage work processes and proactively manage situations to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Ability to work under pressure and think clearly in challenging situations in a logical manner.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in preparing client/service documentation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook computer skills.
  • Understanding of web services, including SOAP and REST.
  • Version control using subversion or Git.
  • Ideal experience in Java development.
  • Keen to learn and improve using our personal development framework.
