Job Title: Retail Director
We are seeking an accomplished and strategic leader to head our retail business unit, driving operational excellence, growth, and profitability across our fuel and convenience retail network.
The Retail Director will be responsible for shaping strategies, optimising current assets, and expanding the company-owned network. They will drive commercial acumen, lead supplier negotiations and partnerships, and build and maintain compliance with safety, legal, and operational standards.
This role requires a strong leadership presence, excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, comprehensive knowledge of contemporary retail operations, concepts, and trends, and a forward-thinking mindset with the ability to innovate and adapt in a competitive market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop a high-performing retail management team
- Align operations, merchandising, and property functions to deliver business outcomes
- Identify and implement training and development opportunities to strengthen capability and foster career growth
Requirements:
The successful candidate will have tertiary qualifications in Business Management or equivalent experience, at least 10 years' experience managing a physical retail sales network, strong commercial acumen and a track record of delivering financial results, exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
