Financial Leadership Role

We seek a seasoned financial professional to lead our dynamic team, driving financial excellence and strategic growth.

About the Role:

This senior accounting position involves managing financial operations across multiple channels, including store setup and maintenance, capital expenditure tracking, revenue recognition, inventory control, and stocktakes. You will be responsible for preparing financial and management reports to inform decision-making, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring seamless coordination of financial processes and accounting tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage financial operations across multiple channels, including store setup and maintenance, capital expenditure tracking, revenue recognition, inventory control, and stocktakes.
  • Prepare comprehensive financial and management reports to support informed decision-making.
  • Collaborate with teams such as FP&A, Sales, Retail, Marketing, and Warehouse to provide accurate financial insights and support.
  • Liaise with Europe-based Shared Services to ensure smooth coordination of financial processes and accounting tasks.
  • Lead month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, fixed asset reviews, tax compliance, and intercompany transactions.
  • Supervise Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in all transactions.
  • Manage external and internal audit processes.
  • Implement and monitor internal controls to ensure SOX compliance.
Requirements:
  • CA or CPA qualification
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a senior accounting role, ideally within D2C, retail, or sporting goods industry
  • Experience in multi-channel environments (Retail, B2B, E-commerce) preferred
  • Strong understanding of Australian financial regulations, GAAP/IFRS
