Job Description
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive procurement strategy for a 3-5 year period, ensuring alignment with our business objectives and industry best practices.
  • Design and implement a future-state operating model, encompassing policies, processes, service delivery, roles, and responsibilities, data and reporting, risk management, and controls.
  • Lead the procurement process for key construction-related contracts, including tendering, supplier selection, and contract negotiation, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, suppliers, and service providers, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Monitor procurement progress against project plans, identifying and mitigating risks, and adjusting strategies as needed to address challenges.
  • Ensure all procurement activities comply with relevant regulations, industry standards, and company policies, promoting a culture of transparency and accountability.
  • Develop a Procurement Uplift Project plan, outlining achievable timelines, resource requirements, risk management, and reporting to the Procurement Project Control Group.
  • Oversee the Level 1 Accreditation application process, driving sustainability initiatives and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
The Successful Applicant
  • Proven experience in developing and executing long-term procurement strategies for large-scale construction projects, with a strong track record of delivering results.
  • Strong knowledge of construction procurement processes, including tendering, contract management, and supplier negotiation, with a focus on innovation and best practices.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality outcomes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions, driving business growth and improvement.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, promoting a culture of collaboration and teamwork.
  • A strong collaborator with excellent people skills, able to build and maintain strong relationships with colleagues, contractors, and suppliers.
