About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Machine Learning Engineer to join our team at nib. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for driving innovation and automation across the organization using machine learning to solve complex business challenges.

As the Lead Machine Learning Engineer, you will work closely with IT and business stakeholders to identify opportunities for machine learning adoption and develop solutions that meet business needs. You will also be responsible for leading machine learning engineering initiatives, managing projects, and mentoring junior team members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead machine learning engineering initiatives and projects, working with IT and business stakeholders to identify opportunities and develop solutions.
  • Manage and mentor junior team members, providing technical guidance and support.
  • Develop and maintain machine learning models and algorithms, ensuring they are accurate, efficient, and scalable.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate machine learning solutions into business processes.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in machine learning, applying this knowledge to improve our solutions and processes.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in machine learning engineering, with a strong background in software engineering principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of machine learning concepts, including supervised and unsupervised learning, deep learning, and natural language processing.
  • Experience with cloud platforms, microservices, and serverless architectures, including AWS.
  • Ability to design and implement scalable and efficient machine learning solutions.
