Civil Engineering Team Lead

We are seeking a highly experienced Civil Team Lead to join our mining infrastructure team in Australia. As a key member of our team, you will provide technical leadership and governance across a range of multidisciplinary projects with a focus on the civil engineering discipline.
Your responsibilities will include providing technical leadership for the civil engineering function within the local WSP business, contributing to business development and client liaison with mining clients and local authorities, and mentoring junior civil engineering staff.
You will also be responsible for maintaining and enhancing best practice Quality Assurance processes across the team, undertaking project management or discipline lead roles for major multidisciplinary projects requiring civil engineering leadership, and supporting the wider mining infrastructure team and other teams within the company nationally.
About YouTo be successful in this role, you will have a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a relevant qualification, with at least 15 years of relevant post-graduate experience. You must be a Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) and have experience leading a team in the mining design space.
You will also have experience in a consultancy environment in the area of civil engineering, with experience designing site water management systems, mine site infrastructure projects, water management structures, road and drainage infrastructure design. Additionally, you will have the ability to build relationships, develop business, and manage teams of engineers, as well as experience in managing the scope of multiple projects varying in complexity and size.
