Mechanical Engineer Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team and contribute to the design and delivery of innovative mechanical services projects.

This role is based in Brisbane, where you will have the opportunity to work with a talented multidisciplinary engineering team and collaborate with architects, project managers, and contractors to deliver integrated design solutions.

As a Mechanical Engineer at our organization, you will be responsible for designing and documenting mechanical services, including HVAC, mechanical ventilation, and other building services systems. You will also conduct site inspections, coordinate with contractors during construction, and contribute to energy-efficient and sustainable design strategies.

Your expertise will ensure compliance with Australian Standards, the National Construction Code (NCC), and local authority requirements. Additionally, you will engage directly with clients to understand their needs and deliver tailored mechanical solutions that meet performance and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and document mechanical services, including HVAC, mechanical ventilation, and other building services systems
  • Conduct site inspections and coordinate with contractors during construction
  • Ensure compliance with Australian Standards, the National Construction Code (NCC), and local authority requirements
  • Engage directly with clients to understand their needs and deliver tailored mechanical solutions
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
  • Preferably 3-4 years of mechanical engineering experience within the Australian Building Services industry
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC and mechanical services design, load calculations, energy efficiency principles, and relevant Australian codes and standards
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, clear communication, attention to detail, and a collaborative approach to project delivery
