Building Operations Specialist

The Facilities Coordinator is a vital role in ensuring the effective operational management of buildings and facilities. This position plays a key part in creating safe, compliant, and efficient environments that support our agencies and communities.
Main Responsibilities:- Oversight of condition audits, maintenance coordination, asset register updates, contractor engagement, and statutory compliance monitoring
- Support for capital and maintenance project delivery, tendering, and funding recommendations
- Main point of contact for facilities matters, working closely with staff, tenants, contractors, and consultants to ensure service quality and continuous improvement
- WHS responsibilities including contractor inductions, risk assessments, and safety compliance
- Strong, detailed knowledge and demonstrated experience in building operations, and facilities and asset maintenance
- Demonstrated experience in a facilities management role
- Demonstrated understanding of general building and facilities services and related trades
- Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills
- Well-developed written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work to a flexible time schedule when required
- Proficiency in Computerised Building Management Systems
- Tertiary qualifications in facilities management or a relevant discipline and/or equivalent experience
- Current Motor Vehicle Licence
- Tertiary qualifications in Electrical and/or Mechanical Engineering
