Job Title: Administrative Support Professional
Job Summary:We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Support Professional to provide administrative assistance for election workforce recruitment and broader workforce activities.
Main Responsibilities:- Administer all aspects of the employment lifecycle for temporary election workers (TEWs) including recruitment, pre-employment screenings, offers of employment, assignment, induction, and payroll management.
- Offer a responsive telephone helpdesk service on payroll matters, resolving basic queries, and providing simple system advice where required.
- Coordinate compliance checks and travel/accommodation requirements for TEWs, attending assessment centres, conferences, training sessions, and/or workshops.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date HR records and databases, adhering to records management processes, ensuring information is accessible and secure.
- Monitor employment mailboxes and respond to HR/payroll inquiries from TEWs in a timely and professional manner, escalating as necessary.
The ideal candidate will possess experience in undertaking various HR-related administrative tasks, project-based activities, and coordinating all aspects of the employment lifecycle within the public sector. Essential skills include high-level written and verbal communication, ability to work under general direction, handle high volumes of work, multitask, and manage competing priorities and deadlines in a busy environment.
The ability to maintain confidentiality, discretion, and neutrality in a role that requires working with sensitive information is also crucial.
A willingness to work extensively out-of-normal hours during election periods and undertake interstate and intrastate travel may be required.
Benefits:This temporary role offers a competitive remuneration package, commensurate with ASO3 - $67,589 to $72,033 per annum.
