About the Role

The Speech Pathologist is a critical member of our multidisciplinary team, providing essential support to Aboriginal children and young people aged 0-18 and their families. The primary goal is to optimize children's development, ensuring they receive the necessary assistance to thrive.

Our team works seamlessly together to deliver comprehensive assessment, treatment, management, and support services. This includes helping families access the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) for children with various developmental and learning disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality assessment and treatment services to children and young people with complex needs.
  • Collaborate with families, carers, and other healthcare professionals to develop personalized plans that cater to each child's unique requirements.
  • Provide education and training to families and caregivers on effective strategies for supporting children's development and well-being.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Speech Pathology or a related field, registered with the relevant Australian regulatory bodies.
  • Proven experience working with children and young people, particularly those from diverse cultural backgrounds.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with families, carers, and other healthcare professionals.
  • A strong understanding of the NDIS and its relevance to speech pathology practice.

Estimated salary: $120,000 - $140,000 per annum, depending on your level of experience and qualifications.
