We are seeking a highly skilled Senior SOC Specialist to join our team at The Decipher Bureau.

As a key escalation point for complex security incidents, you will act as a lead for other team members when needed and drive threat hunting activities with clients in certain industries. You will also be responsible for uplifting environments to improve process, or capability and working on a continuous improvement model.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead Proactive Threat Hunting Activities: Develop hypotheses and execute hunts to detect unknown threats.
  • Manage and Respond to Security Incidents: Report findings and escalate issues as necessary.
  • Develop and Enhance Detection Content: Map to frameworks like MITRE ATT&CK and improve detection coverage.
  • Analyze Data from SIEM Platforms: Identify anomalies and improve detection capabilities using tools like Splunk, Elasticsearch, and Azure Sentinel.
  • Provide Mentorship and Guidance: Drive continuous improvement in operational processes and capabilities.

Our ideal candidate has experience in Managed Security Services or complex Security Operations Centres, with hands-on exposure to SOC operations, threat hunting, or incident response. Strong understanding of Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) tools and proficiency in SIEM tools and network traffic analysis are also required.

Estimated Salary:

$190,000 per year (base + super), with various benefits including full flexibility for remote work and the opportunity to work across a range of environments and projects.
