Based in Sydney, NIDA is Australia's premier training ground for future leaders and practitioners in the dramatic arts.

Salary

The base annual salary for this role is approximately AU$110,000, depending on experience and qualifications, plus 11.5% Superannuation based on a 38-hour working week. This position requires a highly organized technician with leadership skills, knowledge of theatre staging equipment, and a commitment to supporting NIDA's teaching environment.

This includes overseeing the maintenance and operation of technical theatre equipment, coordinating logistics, and ensuring the smooth delivery of productions and events. The role involves a 76-hour fortnight, scheduled as needed based on venue requirements.

Job Description

This role ensures the efficient operation of NIDA's theatre staging staff and resources to support its educational and commercial activities. Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining and operating technical theatre equipment
  • Coordinating logistics for productions and events
  • Ensuring the smooth delivery of productions and events
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent qualification
  • Experience in technical theatre operations, preferably in an educational setting
