
Demand Forecast Strategist

We are seeking a skilled and analytical individual to join our dynamic team as a Demand Forecast Analyst. This role will play a crucial part in maintaining demand forecast integrity and accuracy.
About the Role- This position is based at our National Office in Mulgrave and reports to the Inventory & Forecast Manager.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for interpreting/translating and validating outputs from the demand planning team, reviewing demand forecasts, and providing exception-based feedback to ensure target accuracy is met.
Key Responsibilities- Working closely with Merchandise Planning to optimize inventory levels and achieve sales, margin, and stockturn financial KPIs.
- Supporting the business through improved forecasts and accurate reporting where key insights are presented to stakeholders and influence decision-making.
- Owning merchandise relationships, driving enhancements in forecast accuracy, and ensuring continuous improvement throughout the planning function.
- Ensuring clear action plans and mitigation strategies are generated through utilization of demand planning reports.
- Building key inputs and strategies for Demand TIR (Total Inventory Review) supporting execution of the Merchandise Product Strategy.
- Building and nurturing relationships with all key stakeholders.
- A driven and analytical individual with real strength in building and managing relationships with key stakeholders.
- Qualification in Data Analysis, Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Commerce, Inventory, Supply Chain, or related experience.
- Demonstrated skills in data analysis and reporting.
- Strong Excel and Power Bi skills.
- Experience within retail, wholesale, or manufacturing.
- Effective and concise communication skills.
- Ability to present analysis and insights to stakeholders/clients.
- Excellent communication skills and empathy in dealing with technical and non-technical customers.
