
Business Development Manager

As a key account manager, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth, customer satisfaction, and account retention in the utility sector. Your primary focus will be on expanding product usage, growing new business, improving margin performance, and formalising service-level agreements.
You will act as the primary commercial contact for your assigned accounts, working closely with internal stakeholders to manage tenders, track opportunity pipelines, and ensure all customer-facing activities are coordinated and forecasted.
Responsibilities- Manage and grow a portfolio of utility accounts across Australia
- Re-engage inactive or underutilised clients to uncover new opportunities
- Coordinate tenders, contract renewals, and quotes with internal teams
- Maintain CRM accuracy, opportunity tracking, and forecasting integrity
- Build and maintain account coverage plans, ensuring regular engagement
- Liaise with engineering and technical specialists to scope and deliver solutions
- Experience in account management, inside sales or commercial project coordination
- Exposure to the electrical, OEM, utilities, or industrial supply chain sectors
- Comfortable working with CRMs and managing quote pipelines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a structured, commercial approach
- Ability to self-manage, take ownership of outcomes, and influence internally
- Familiarity with contract negotiation or SLA management is highly regarded
