Job Role

The organisation is seeking a skilled and proactive Fitness Services Officer to assist in the development, implementation and review of retention programs and initiatives.

As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for supporting the development and implementation of retention strategies to meet objectives.

You will work in a dynamic environment, multi-tasking across various programming to meet deadlines and perform required tasks to a high standard. Excellent customer service skills are essential, as you will provide health and fitness advice in a friendly atmosphere.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the development and implementation of retention strategies and initiatives.
  • Providing health and fitness advice to customers in a friendly atmosphere.
  • Conducting professional health club consultations and assessments.
  • Prescribing safe and effective exercise programs and instructing participants in correct exercise technique.
  • Liaising with user and community groups to identify new program opportunities.

Qualifications and experience:

  • Certificate III in Fitness (Essential).
  • Certificate IV in Fitness (preferred).
  • Bachelor of Exercise and Sports Science (preferred).
  • Current industry registration with AusActive Physical Fitness Australia or ESSA.
  • Current Level 2 First Aid certificate, including current CPR.
  • Current Working with Children Check.
