About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Personal Care Worker to join our team at Collar Group. As a Personal Care Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents in residential aged care facilities and retirement villages.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care to residents, including assistance with daily living activities, grooming, and mobility.
  • Assist Registered Nurses with documentation, medication administration, and resident assessments.
  • Support residents with meal consumption and monitoring nutrition.
  • Deliver family and resident education on care and support.
  • Contribute to infection control and prevention measures.
  • Participate in palliative care, restorative care, and pain management initiatives.
  • Assist with admissions and support residents and their families during the transition process.
  • Liaise with residents' families, doctors, and allied health professionals.
Requirements
  • Certification in Aged Care or Individual Support, or equivalent.
  • COVID-19 vaccination, including at least one booster.
  • Flu vaccination.
  • First aid and CPR certification.
  • Minimum 6 months of full-time experience in aged care as a Personal Care Worker in Australia.
  • Current Police Check (under 12 months old).
  • NDIS Clearance or willingness to obtain.
  • Reliable vehicle and full driving license, or willingness to use public transport.
