Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Assistant to provide exceptional support to our clients in the comfort of their own homes.

As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by delivering personalized care services with empathy and understanding.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment by performing general light cleaning duties, including vacuuming, dusting, sweeping or mopping floors, doing dishes, changing bed linen, laundry, and cleaning bathrooms.
  • Prepare meals and snacks for clients according to client/family and supervisor's instructions. Perform grocery shopping if prearranged with the office.
  • Provide companionship for clients, including accompanying them on walks, trips to social/recreational activities, assistance with hobbies, etc.
  • Document services provided in the client record and use telephony system as required.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, significant others, and other members of the Care Team while maintaining confidentiality of client information.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to genuinely care and have an empathetic attitude towards the care of the sick, dealing with job demands effectively.
  • Valid Driver's License and fully comprehensively insured private vehicle for work or access to adequate transportation.
  • Australian Federal Police Clearance Certificate.

The Care Assistant will NOT perform any personal care services, heavy lifting, administering medications, heavy-duty household chores, or household repairs and maintenance.
