About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Injury Management Specialist to join our team at Northcott. As a key member of our workforce, you will play a critical role in providing expert advice and guidance on workplace injury management and recovery practices.

Your primary responsibility will be to own injury claims within the organisation, working closely with injured workers, employers, medical providers, and stakeholders to achieve timely and sustainable return to work outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide first-level advice and support to managers and employees on work health and safety matters
  • Conduct and monitor incident investigations to identify contributing factors and implement corrective actions
  • Monitor workers compensation claims costs and liaise with external stakeholders, including treatment advisors and insurers
  • Coach site managers on the principles of injury management and provide instruction on return-to-work obligations and processes
  • Partner with HR to manage non-work-related medical conditions and industrial risks
About You

To be successful in this role, you will require a strong understanding of injury management, rehabilitation, and return-to-work practices, including relevant legislation and guidance material. You will also need to have relevant experience in workers compensation claims administration and/or consultancy, as well as a tertiary qualification in Work Health and Safety or a related business discipline.
