Buckland is a quality provider of Aged Care services, delivering respectful and dignified care to our residents.

We are seeking highly motivated and qualified Assistants in Nursing (morning, afternoon, and night shifts) to join our team.

Key responsibilities include assisting residents with daily care needs, maintaining dignity and confidentiality, and ensuring safe use of equipment.

  • Daily Care Needs: Assisting residents with showering, dressing, and meals
  • Resident Support: Maintaining each resident's dignity, privacy, and confidentiality at all times
  • Equipment Safety: Ensuring safe use of equipment to assist residents with limited mobility

As an Assistant in Nursing, you will deliver quality care to each resident as specified on their individual care plan. Your duties may also include noting and reporting changes in physical, behavioural, or emotional wellbeing of each resident to the registered nurse.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • To have completed a Certificate III in Individual Care or equivalent qualification
  • Demonstrate a genuine interest in aged care nursing
  • Have strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of Work Health and Safety principles
  • Sound written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Be proactive, flexible, and willing to show initiative
  • Be able to work effectively as part of a team
  • Able to accept direction
  • Ideally have experience working in the Aged Care sector
  • Be willing to learn and commit to ongoing professional development
  • Have a basic knowledge of computers
  • Have your own transport or live locally
