
Regional ICU Specialist

The role of an Intensivist - Visiting Medical Officer is a high-level position within the ICU team. As an integral member, you will be responsible for delivering evidence-based care to critically ill adult patients.
You will work closely with a multidisciplinary group of intensivists, junior doctors, and nursing staff to ensure seamless patient care. Your contributions will also extend to teaching and mentoring junior medical staff across the hospital.
Furthermore, you will participate in quality improvement, safety initiatives, and ongoing research within the unit. This will enable you to grow professionally while making a positive impact on patient outcomes.
As part of this team, you will liaise closely with patients and families to ensure compassionate and patient-centred care. This includes ensuring that the needs and preferences of each patient are met throughout their treatment journey.

Working as an Intensivist - Visiting Medical Officer offers a unique opportunity to join a team of specialists with diverse expertise in anaesthesia, emergency medicine, general medicine, and echocardiography.

RequirementsTo be successful in this role, you must possess:
- Fellowship of the College of Intensive Care Medicine (CICM) or equivalent
- Current registration with AHPRA
