Electrical Systems Technician

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Electrical Systems Technician to work on the Santos Project.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and safety-focused Electrical Systems Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining and troubleshooting electrical systems (LV/HV) on fixed plant and process equipment on Oil & Gas infrastructures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical systems (LV/HV).
  • Read and interpret electrical drawings, P&IDs and loop diagrams.
  • Perform glanding and termination of LV/HV cables in accordance with site and hazardous area requirements.
  • Perform preventative and breakdown maintenance on pumps, compressors, and other key process infrastructure.
  • Assist with commissioning and shutdown activities in live plant environments.
  • Ensure all ITPs and FICs are followed and correctly documented.
  • Assist in compiling and reviewing E&I MDRs.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role in the Oil, Gas and Energy sector.
  • Unrestricted Electrical Licence.
  • Instrumentation qualifications (required cert 3 & 4).
  • Strong focus on electrical safety, isolations and permit to work systems.
  • Must have current driver's licence.
  • Construction White Card.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
