Job Title: Mental Health Clinician

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled mental health professional to provide individualised, evidence-based interventions for short to medium-term support. The ideal candidate will have a tertiary degree in Counselling, Social Work, Nursing or Psychology, and registration with a relevant professional body.

The successful candidate will deliver trauma-informed mental health care services, including evidence-based psychological therapies and wellbeing interventions, tailored to the needs of clients. They will also perform risk assessments, case formulations and treatment plans for clients with moderate to severe mental health difficulties.

This is an opportunity to work with a well-respected not-for-profit organisation in Western Sydney that is funded to deliver inclusive mental health services to the community. You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team approach, with access to clinical supervision, training and career development opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver trauma-informed mental health care services, including evidence-based psychological therapies and wellbeing interventions.
  • Perform risk assessments, case formulations and treatment plans for clients with moderate to severe mental health difficulties.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and external stakeholders to ensure a holistic approach to client care.
  • Actively participate in individual and group supervision, as well as professional development activities.
Requirements:
  • A tertiary degree in Counselling, Social Work, Nursing or Psychology.
  • Registration with a relevant professional body - ACA, PACFA, AASW or APHRA.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working with clients experiencing mental health challenges.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in delivering trauma-informed care and evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
