Job Title: Community Health Services Trainer and Resource Developer

This is a casual VET trainer/assessor and resource developer role for community health services programs (Individual Support: Ageing and Disability). The successful candidate will develop and lead students in learning activities to successfully meet the competency requirements of the course.

The primary purpose of this role is to provide support and feedback to students during the course, as well as observing and assessing student competency and performance according to course requirements.

In addition, the successful candidate will be responsible for developing engaging and compliant learning and assessment resources.

About the Role
  • Develop and lead students in learning activities to meet course competency requirements and support student progress.
  • Provide ongoing feedback and assess student competency and performance according to course requirements.
  • Develop engaging, compliant learning and assessment resources for delivery and assessment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Teaching and training students in community health services programs.
  • Assessing student competency and performance.
  • Developing learning and assessment resources.
Selection Criteria
  • Qualified in a relevant field at least to the level of the course you are teaching.
  • TAE40116 or TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training & Assessment or equivalent.
  • Course resource and assessment development experience.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in Aged Care or Disability Support Worker roles.
  • Current Working with Children Check.
  • Ability to engage, lead, mentor and encourage students in classroom and clinical environments.
  • Ability to validate assessment items and judgments.
  • Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Experience working with student management systems.
  • Understanding of Smart and Skilled contract requirements.
