Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly experienced medical professional to fill a senior academic leadership role within the Doctor of Medicine (MD) program.

The Faculty of Science, Medicine and Health comprises the Schools of Science, Medical, Indigenous and Health Sciences, Nursing, and the Graduate School of Medicine.

  • This position provides clinical leadership and works in partnership with other directors to manage all clinically related aspects of the program.
  • The successful candidate will contribute to governance of the MD Program, lead clinical curriculum design and delivery, oversee clinical placements, and ensure best practices in clinical learning and teaching.
About The Role

Your key responsibilities include contributing to strategic decision-making, leading clinical curriculum development, and ensuring high-quality educational outcomes.

You will work closely with other academics and healthcare professionals to achieve program goals and objectives.

  • Leadership in medical education is essential for this role, including strengths in team-building, mentoring, and collaboration.
  • The ability to work effectively with hospital-based and community-based medical practitioners is also required.
About You

You will hold current unrestricted medical registration, postgraduate qualifications in a medical discipline, and a current or anticipated specialist appointment with primary employment at the relevant health district.

Proven leadership capabilities, a strong commitment to ongoing professional practice, and experience in curriculum delivery/development within a medical school or medical training environment are essential for success in this role.
