Key Responsibilities:
  • Routine receipting and processing of specimens, including operation and maintenance of analytical equipment.
  • Pre and post-analytical specimen handling.
  • Identification and prioritization of urgent specimens.
  • Filing and storage of specimens and data entry.
  • Supporting scientists in the laboratory as required.

Laboratory professionals work closely with scientists to ensure accurate and timely results. They must be able to cope with a high-pressure environment and adapt to changing priorities.

We are seeking an individual who is highly motivated, reliable and possesses excellent communication skills.

About You:
  • You will need to have a great blend of skills, including specimen processing and data entry experience, excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Understanding the importance of following procedures accurately.
  • A willingness to adhere to organizational policies and procedures.

A Certificate III in Laboratory Techniques or Pathology Collection is desirable but not essential. Previous laboratory experience and exposure to medical terminology would be advantageous.
