Job Description

The Education Futures Institute (EFI) is a key system initiative that provides high-quality, evidence-informed and equitable capability development for a diverse workforce across key career stages.

  • Lead delivery of initiatives to strengthen respectful relationships education (RRE) in Queensland state schools, including development of training materials.

As the Manager, you will shape state-wide initiatives involved in strengthening the delivery of RRE as a whole school approach to improve student engagement and belonging.

This dynamic, innovative position demands strategic vision, and passion for helping educational leaders build their RRE expertise.

Key Functions

The ideal candidate will:

  • Develop and implement RRE professional development initiatives for Queensland state schools' staff aligned to priorities.
  • Provide high-level advice for senior officers to shape policies and procedures that address key issues.
  • Apply expert knowledge of effective RRE to the design, development, and quality assurance of training materials.
  • Mentor and inspire a multidisciplinary team working across regions, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability.
  • Continuously monitor, evaluate, report on, and refine activities using data collection tools and mechanisms.
Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal applicants are individuals who demonstrate:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of Respectful Relationship Education, Australian Curriculum Version 9, K-12 Curriculum, assessment and reporting framework, and systemic priorities of RRE.
  • Proven ability to lead, inspire, and implement state-wide initiatives.
  • A proactive approach to navigate a dynamic environment, respond quickly to changing demands and priorities, and deliver practical, sustainable solutions.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication and digital literacy skills.
