Key Position in Government Information Access

The successful candidate will oversee the implementation of statutory responsibilities under the GIPA Act, promoting open government and ensuring compliant decision making. This role involves providing technical guidance to staff, developing processes and procedures, and delivering training programs across NSW.

This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated individual with strong leadership skills to join a supportive team. The ideal candidate will have experience applying relevant legislations, such as the GIPA Act, and be able to make autonomous decisions. They will also possess strong written and verbal communication skills, enabling them to effectively communicate with stakeholders and tailor messaging for different audiences.

The Senior Coordinator Right to Information will play a critical role in leading best practice delivery of services, managing complex requests for information, and developing strong relationships with key stakeholders. They will thrive in a high volume and time pressured environment, prioritizing and coordinating their work and the work of the team effectively.

  • Provide technical guidance to staff on compliant decision making under the GIPA Act.
  • Manage complex requests for information and lead best practice delivery of services.
  • Develop and maintain processes and procedures and deliver training programs across NSW.

The successful candidate will be able to inspire and motivate direct reports, provide feedback, and thrive in a dynamic environment with changing priorities. Strong aptitude to deliver to tight deadlines and flexibility are essential for this role.
