Therapeutic Support Professional

This is a dynamic and rewarding opportunity to deliver high-quality therapeutic support services to clients in Western Sydney and Southern Highlands.

  • Deliver professional counselling aligned with preferred models, focusing on the wellbeing and safety of clients.
  • Develop and maintain clear, achievable case plans in collaboration with clients, prioritising their needs and goals.
  • Promote the service through local partnerships, forums, and resource development, enhancing community engagement and outreach.
  • Maintain accurate records that meet organisational, legislative, and funding requirements, ensuring compliance and transparency.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and contribute to service improvement initiatives, driving excellence and growth.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Social Work, Counselling or similar, with a strong focus on client-centred practice.
  • A valid NSW Driver's Licence, enabling travel across Western Sydney and Southern Highlands.
  • Graduate membership with PACFA, AASW, APS or equivalent, demonstrating a commitment to professional standards and ethics.
  • A minimum of 160 hours of client contact in counselling, showcasing expertise and experience.
  • Experience in family, couple, or child/adolescent counselling, with a demonstrated ability to adapt to diverse client needs.
  • Strong communication and assessment skills, with a focus on empathy, active listening, and cultural sensitivity.
