About the Role
AIG is seeking a highly skilled Senior Casualty Underwriter to join our Commercial Accounts Practice team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assessing middle-market risks, applying AIG's underwriting appetite and risk controls, and creating solutions that provide financial protection for our clients' businesses.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and grow the Casualty book, with a focus on renewal retention, new business generation, and policy administration services.
- Achieve agreed production targets by establishing strategic marketing objectives and action plans, and developing broker relationships.
- Identify new business prospects and targets, and assist in the development of client relationships.
- Ensure the maintenance and development of solid working relationships with assigned brokers.
Requirements
- Proven experience in Casualty Underwriting across a broad range of products, including Primary Casualty and Excess/Umbrella.
- Entrepreneurial and solution-based approach to Underwriting, with a high degree of technical skill.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, combined with the ability to influence people.
- Excellent relationship management and strong interpersonal skills.
